Inhabit, a global PropTech leader, was born from the merger of two GSV-founded platforms in 2019. The first of the two, Property Brands, was founded in 2015 with the acquisition of PayYourRent. The second, Vacation Brands, launched in 2018 following the acquisition of Streamline Vacation Software.

Since inception, Inhabit has pursued a disciplined M&A strategy to accelerate growth and expand its technology footprint across multiple verticals. Notable acquisitions have included ResMan in 2021, Anyone Home in 2022, and LMPM in 2023. With each transaction Inhabit deepened the platform’s capabilities and strengthened its position as a category leader in property management software.

In December 2024, GSV furthered its support of Inhabit by investing alongside Blackstone in a preferred equity transaction. The deal marked a continuation of GSV’s long-term partnership with the company and positioned Inhabit for sustained growth and category leadership.

Today, Inhabit serves over four million units, and has grown from a single property management platform into a market leader across residential, commercial property, and vacation rentals.
