Founded in 2012 with the acquisitions of SimpleGive, EasyTithe, and Site Organic, Ministry Brands offers a broad set of SaaS solutions to churches and faith-based organizations across the U.S. and Canada. Following years of rapid consolidation and product expansion, the company was recapitalized by Insight Partners in 2016 in a transaction valued at $1.4 billion—earning PEI’s Large Cap Private Equity Deal of the Year— and subsequently rebranded as Community Brands.
From 2017 through 2022, Community Brands continued its acquisitive strategy, completing 20+ buy-side transactions that expanded its product suite, deepened customer relationships, and broadened its reach across engagement, giving, learning, and management tools.
In 2021, Reverence Capital Partners acquired the Ministry Brands business from Community Brands through a leveraged buyout. As a part of the transaction, Ministry Brands became a standalone entity with material rollover investment from its former parent, and a full exit from former majority investor, Insight Partners.
Today, Ministry Brands has evolved into a broader integrated platform serving over 95,000 faith-based organizations through an integrated suite of solutions spanning engagement, online donations, accounting, and church management.
