About
Ross Croley is a serial software entrepreneur and vertical platform builder whose private equity playbook centers on SaaS roll-ups and buy-and-build models across highly fragmented markets. Over the past 15 years, he has co-founded and scaled multiple billion-dollar category leaders, including Inhabit, Catalis, Tribute Technology, Ensora Health and Ministry Brands—which earned PE Hub’s Private Equity Deal of the Year in 2017.
Croley began his entrepreneurial career in the late 1990s when he founded In10sity Interactive, a digital agency that built websites and content management systems. Driven by his strategic vision, In10sity grew into a leading provider of web solutions for mission-driven organizations, blending design, software, and digital marketing long before “vertical SaaS” entered the mainstream lexicon. The experience provided Croley with early insight into the scalability of software across niche service markets.
Today, Ross serves as GSV’s CEO, where he leads the strategic direction and integration of the firm’s portfolio, and as the executive chairman across many of the firm’s portfolio companies. As a former operator turned capital allocator, he operates with a founder’s urgency and an investor’s precision—scaling category leaders through disciplined capital, sharp execution, and high-velocity growth.
Under his leadership, GSV platforms have completed over 275 acquisitions, ranging from $3M to $3B, across a range of vertical software and tech-enabled sectors, and have delivered best-in-class returns to our co-invested capital partners.
