KNOXVILLE, Tenn., November 8, 2023 – Lisa Stinnett, co-founder and managing partner of Greater Sum Ventures and founder and CEO of Inhabit, has been recognized as one of The Top 50 Women Leaders of Tennessee for 2023. The annual list is compiled by the organization Women We Admire, a membership of the most accomplished women executives and leaders across the U.S. and Canada.
“It’s humbling to be included in this group of executives including leaders at FedEx, AT&T, Dollar General, and so many other notable companies,” said Stinnett. “The collective achievements of these businesswomen raise the profile of our great state, and I’m delighted to join them in representing Tennessee’s diverse and thriving economy.”
Women We Admire added: “Fortunately, there has been a significant evolution within Tennessee’s wide range of industries, marked by an increasing focus on women assuming leadership roles. This positive development signifies not only progress in the quest for gender equality but also underscores the invaluable contributions women have made across the various sectors that drive economic health for the Volunteer State — and beyond.”
Stinnett has overseen the growth of software company Inhabit and its residential and vacation property tech portfolio. Since 2015, she has led the acquisition, development, and integration of more than 30 technologies into Inhabit’s rapidly growing product portfolio. Stinnett combines decision-making and tactical expertise to take initiatives from concept to implementation. As CEO, she brings a customer-centric approach to all business strategies directly contributing to the company’s robust growth in the residential and vacation markets.
Stinnett first got her start in 1999 as a corporate customer relations supervisor at Goody’s Family Clothing. From there, she went on to Ministry Brands, before eventually rising to managing partner at Greater Sum Ventures, the private equity firm she helped create and still operates today, along with partners Ross Croley and Bill Nix. Stinnett graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with an undergraduate degree in retail and consumer sciences.
Tennessee is widely known for its delectable fried cuisine, renowned whiskey, and a rich musical heritage that birthed various genres such as country, blues, and rock. The state is also the proud host of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the most frequented national park in the U.S., welcoming over 12 million visitors annually.
